Arnea Traditional Village Tour

Colorful Houses in Arnea

The Arnaia route is inspired by the element of earth, reflecting the essence of Aristotelian philosophy and the deep connection between nature and local heritage.

Our experience begins with a guided walk through the charming alleys of Arnaia, often referred to as the “traditional noble town” of Eastern Halkidiki. Along the way, you’ll admire beautifully preserved mansions and authentic Macedonian architecture.

A highlight of the tour is a visit to the Church of Saint Stephen, dating back to 1812. Through its unique glass floor, you can observe remains of earlier structures believed to originate from as far back as the 10th century, offering a rare glimpse into the area’s long history.

Continuing through picturesque cobblestone streets influenced by Mount Athos architecture, we will explore local museums that showcase the region’s cultural identity. At the Folklore Museum and the Weaving Museum, you’ll discover traditional crafts, everyday life, and customs that have shaped the community over the centuries.

The journey then takes a delicious turn with a honey tasting experience at the award-winning Honey Georgaka. Here, you will sample premium local honey varieties, try the traditional spirit “Moundovina,” and visit a small beekeeping museum to learn about historical honey production methods.

Our tour concludes at the scenic park of Agia Paraskevi, where you will have free time to relax and enjoy nature. For families, there is also the option for children to experience horseback riding along gentle trails in a lush green environment.
